WeVideo has a very intuitive user interface that would make me feel comfortable helping someone learn how to use it. The only time I had trouble was when I had to figure out how to add a voice over to the project, but a quick online search helped me learn how. One of the most interesting parts of this tool for me is the audio bank, as there is a wide variety of sounds, even within themes, that one can choose from. On the other hand, what I found most frustrating was the availability of images. I had to search a while to find images that I thought fit my project, and I still wasn’t completely happy with what I ended up including in my final video product. I don’t have many questions about the tool since I used it quite extensively for a project in a previous class, but what I would like to explore some more is layering multiple images and/or text boxes. I found an alternative way to achieve a similar effect this time, but at another point, when I have more free time, I would like to experiment to see how you can control which track’s image or text ends up in the top layer of the video.
