I wanted to create an exhibit to display some of the information that we were given for the Santa María volcano research for a StoryMap some time ago. My goal was to create an exhibit with more than one page, with each page focusing on a different aspect of the trip. I think the way Omeka lets you organise information on an item is really cool. It got a little tedious having to put in metadata for each item, and then for the collection, and then for the exhibit, but I understand that it is important to have the metadata at each of those stages. Omeka seems much less daunting this second time around, and I was able to navigate the website much more quickly. There are a couple of metadata entries in the Dublin Core that I’m still not sure about, but overall, I feel more confident in my ability to help someone figure out how to use it.
